Help Me Jesus – Why Jesus is The Best Solution

By lan Warner

One question people often ask is what makes Jesus different. Why is saying “help me Jesus” so crucial for us? If you are on the fence or doubting your faith, it’s worth explaining why Jesus is the best solution.

Jesus is not just an excellent solution for Sunday. He is not just the name you should call during hard times, but Jesus is enough for every situation in life. One of the best things you can do is recognize the true power of Jesus. Many miss this power, including some Christians, because we think Jesus is only Lord sometimes and only over some things.

Matthew 4:10

Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.’”

Hebrews 5:9

And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him

Jesus is the source of all salvation because he was perfect and because of the sacrifice that he made. Jesus wants all of us, though. He does not wish to be part of you. Instead, he wants our minds and lives to be entirely devoted to him and following him.

The Problem With Serving Other Things and Why They Always Lead Back to Jesus

You can choose to serve your relationships, for example. But what happens when that person leaves you or when they pass away? You serve money, but what if you lose it all? You can serve so many different things in this world that rust, rot and fade away. The only thing that counts to last eternity is the one who beat death himself.

None of these things address the brokenness you feel inside. Why is that? Because only Jesus can do that. We have been separated from God due to our sin. We have sinned greatly against God, and it does not matter how small we say the sin is. God is perfect and righteous, and he can only be around holyness. Since we have sinned in our lives, we can’t be with God.

It does not matter how cruel or wrong you think that is because you are not God. You don’t get to decide what goes and what does not go. But God loves us so much that he created a way for his people to come back to him.

He loved us so much that he sent his only son Jesus from his side down to earth to live in the flesh. Jesus became God in the flesh, and he was killed on the cross for our sins. He was perfect and became the perfect sacrificial lamb to take on the death that we all deserved.

Three days later, God raised him from the dead, and he became the only person to beat death. So since Jesus conquered death, we get to defeat death and live in eternal peace through him. Why does this happen? Because when you believe in what Jesus did, you are covered with his blood, and when you get to heaven’s gates, you get presented at the gates as Jesus.

His Name Makes People Mad for a Reason

Think about this; you can say you believe in God. You can say that worship Allah, Budah, or anything else, and very few people get mad. But mention the name of Jesus, and the demons of this world tremble! They get angry and begin to attack you because Jesus is the truth! You don’t have to accept it as the truth, and you don’t have to believe it, but evil in this world know that the only thing worth fighting against is Christians.

The name of Jesus repels people, and they have a tonne of reasons why. Some say that Christians are horrible or had a bad experience with church, but where else is that logic accepted? Can you have a bad experience with someone of a race and conclude they are all the same? Also, the Christian faith is not based on being holier than anyone else. It’s based on being broken and recognizing that you need a savior.

No Amount of Work Will Save You – Help Me, Jesus

The big separator with Christ and why people plead “help me Jesus” is because there is no other faith-based on works. Christianity requires one to repent from their sin and believe in Christ’s work on behalf of us all. In other religions, you can work your way to heaven if you pray enough, meditate or do enough good deeds.

Jesus is not saying work for your salvation. He says, believe in me so the Holy Spirit can be given to you and walk through this world with a changed heart. How awesome is that? You don’t have to add another thing in your life that will judge you based on your performance.

You Don’t Have to Keep Earning Your Salvation – Help Me, Jesus

Romans 8: 37-38

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How reassuring is that? Nothing can separate you from your salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Nothing that can be created in this world, no matter how scary, can tear you away from God. Nothing, because Jesus beat death, and that is the worst of what the world has to offer.

The Holy Spirit Will Set You Free – Help Me, Jesus

When you believe in Jesus, you are given a helper in the Holy Spirit. The spirit helps to guide you, and it’s why you can take no credit for your works once you convert because it’s all because of the Holy Spirit anyway. None of the work you do will ever be enough because your flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:40-43

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Before Christ, you have to remember that you live in the Flesh and set your mind and heart on things of the flesh. The best thing you can do is yield to the Holy Spirit so you can move away from your weak flesh.

Serve a Master That Loves You

One argument that people have with the Bible is that we are supposed to serve the Lord. We are supposed to consider God to be our master. Society likes to believe that we are all free and can do whatever, but here is the truth. Everyone is a slave to something. You can choose to be a slave to sin, or you can be a slave to righteousness. If you are a slave to righteousness, it’s because the blood of Jesus covers you.

When people think of the word master, they think of the word slave master. The issue is that a slave master is sinful because you don’t have the people’s best interests in mind. God has our best interest in mind. When you look at what the Bible tells you not to do, whether, in the ten commandments or the greatest commandment in the New Testament, you see that our lives are better when we do these things.

When you live according to the word of God, it protects you from yourself. People argue that sex before marriage is a good thing and that marriage is an outdated concept. Then wonder why people end up with a broken heart and are attached to people they were never meant to be connected to. We always think we know best because we are hard-headed, but the truth is only God knows best.
