When referring to 60/12 in the Bible, it’s often referring to Isaiah 60/12. Below you can find the verse as well as different versions of it.
Isaiah 60/12
12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
New International Version
For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.
American Standard Version
For that nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
English Standard Version
For the nation and kingdom that will not serve, you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste.
The verse speaks to the fact that there is a certain ruin to come for not following the saviour who is on coming. One of the biggest pulls to religion is avoiding this certain fate of destruction for not doing what God desires. There is a strong fear of the unknown and that word PERISH. It means that the nations and kingoms that do not serve will die. They will be destroyed no matter how mighty they are here in earth.
What should the focus be? We need to serve Jesus Christ. We need to be ok with the fact that we are slaves to his goodness. Why are we slaves? Because he paid for our lives with his blood.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
There was a price paid for your life and therefor you are indebted to the person who paid that price. Its like being bailed out of a situation by a friend. You feel indebted to them to some degree. You should feel the pain of what they sacrificed for you.
Only when Jesus paid for his, he gave up his life for us. He took on all the crap and sin even though he was who he said he was and he lived a life without sin. He took on the punishment that we all deserved. Because of these we are in service to him and by doing so eternal life through him is possible.
