Breakdown of Exodus 24/4
The verse is speaking on everything that Moses did after hearing God revealed the commands and laws to him.
24 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel. You are to worship at a distance, 2, but Moses alone is to approach the Lord; the others must not come near. And the people may not come up with him.”

The 12 tribes of Israel were named after Jacobs’s children. Moses was simply building an altar so that he could make an offering to God.

Breakdown of Matthew 24/4
Jesus was warning the disciples that at the end of times many will come trying to falsely claim that they are Jesus. Many will try to bring false teaching to people and lead them astray. He is warning Christians to hold tight to sound doctrine.
